Ahrr.....those are the good old days ma!!! :)

But back to shutter speed, working with film ISO and aperture brings different effects to a photo. Even with now a day digital platforms, this formula still the same but just most relied on the computer and very high percentage use only auto mode even with some of the most advance equipment. The photo editing software like PhotoShop make many photographer no longer thing before shooting and or spend time compose before taking a shoot. Hence feel that shutter no longer matter. Back in the days when photo editing software are not so common, photographer really have to think before taking a shoot as each time a shutter button is pushed the cost can be costly especially for those who use 120s or even larger formats!!

But with all that said, even today, the formula still apply. Shutter speed (camera) film ISO (film speed) aperture (lens opening) still govern how a photo is composed. Still have to learn it if one wants to become a better photographer la!!

Agree

Shutter speed still important in nowaday digital photography. I don't think computer nor software post processing can replace that.

e.g. you need slow shutter speed to show motion, or high shutter speed to freeze a motion...
