CABE has two representations. One is to stand for the Commission of Architecture and Built Environment which was established in 1999 but ceased to exist in 2011. The other one is the Chartered Association of Building Engineers which was founded as the Incorporated Association of Architects and Surveyors (IAAS) in 1925 in London.
