Not really a good trade for the Lakers.

Except for Kobe, Nash and Nick Young (player option), we will clear the ENTIRE roster and we will have roughly ~$35M of cap space to sign any player. So why absorb the long term contract of both Lin and Asik? Not saying they are bad players, but both of them won't help the Lakers' chances in winning a title anyway. So no thanks.

I've said it like in the summer of 2011, when the Lakers just got swept by the Mavs in the second round that; we should consider trading Gasol to the Blazers for LaMarcus Aldridge. I knew he would be a good PF, just I didn't know he would be as good as he is this season.

As much as I hate to see the Lakers losing to the Heat, I am pleased with the performance. I woke up at 6am and watched the whole thing! Haha!

The battle for draft lottery supremacy continued in Utah tonight, and the Lakers came out "winning" this round, and "gained" a little more ground toward a high lottery pick!

I want to be THAT poor! I mean, he is still being paid! At least $6M of his 2-year, $24M contract is guaranteed! He ain't exactly playing for the vet minimum with no guarantee money, you know? That being said, I don't feel too bad for him. He has an emotion, anger management issue all along. And he has got to learn how to control his emotion or his career will soon end.

Suddenly the hottest team in the West (the Blazers) lost two in a row, and they are at OKC against the Thunder tomorrow (HK time). Can they beat the Thunder and steal back the #1 spot out west, or will they suddenly lose 3 games in a row?! Either way, Blazers @ Thunder tomorrow should be a good one!

And all of a sudden the Thunder got careless and allowed the Nets stealing one in OKC!

Another shocker from last night has to be the Warriors' win over the Heat in Miami! The Heat played terrible D all game long, as if they just didn't care. Hopefully the Heat keep that attitude up all the way til the end of the season, haha, I look forward to seeing someone beating them this year!

This could be a major blow to the Clippers! Chris Paul went down with a shoulder injury, and is expected to be out up to 5 weeks!

Also Clippers related. Reports are saying the Knicks did check with the Clippers for Blake Griffin's availability, and they wanted to trade Melo for BG. Those same reports said the Clippers management did talk about it internally, but decided to keep BG in the end.

Pau Gasol might have played his last game for the Lakers last night vs. the Jazz, as the Cavs are leaning toward finalizing a Gasol-for-Bynum trade by Sunday. Regardless of what will happen, thanks Pau for the past 4 plus years in LA!

I'd say if Pau is indeed traded to the Cavs, it would be good for both the Lakers and Gasol himself. For LA, they can save a ton of luxury tax money, when they simply ain't doing well this season. For Pau, he and D'Antoni just can't exactly get along, it might be better for him to play out this season and see where he can go in the summer. One thing is for sure, Pau is no longer the prime big man like he was in 2009-2010! He won't get any better, but he will still be an above average big man!
