What this boss is asking for is someone with qualification and experience of a AAT graduate plus student of ACIS. I think it should be worth at least $12-16K, depending on experience and the complexity of the tasks at hand. For $8K, either the applicant wants the title more than the pay, or is desperate to get a job or clean up his past before he find another job.
Just noted that this boss is a foreigner and requires fluent English speaker. Honestly, would anyone with fluent command of English work for $8K with no extra commission or bonus as is usually the case for accounting personnel (being "cost centers")? This guy either has no idea of local job market situation, is too cheap to pay the fair price, or thinks that knowledgeable hands are a dime a dozen (I've met my fair share of these folks). Let him enjoy the merry-go-round of job interviews first. |
