世界的另一邊，外景主持人葉子與攝制小組來到遙遠的烏茲別克，拍攝電視旅遊節目。葉子在鏡頭前開心地品嘗當地風味美食、體驗傳統捕魚樂趣，即使飯冷沒熟、漁夫刁難，她依舊努力擠出甜美敬業的笑容，默默吞下所有委屈，只能在深夜與男友的電話中，低訴寂寞心情。眼看即將收工返家，原定拍攝場景卻被取消，文化語言不通的兩方陷入爭執僵局，究竟該放棄拍攝還是另找題材？世界盡頭的困境也讓所有人陷入茫然失措中，無處可逃……。
9 _) X' l# U2 Q0 C+ X$ x! g 本片為日本與烏茲別克建交二十五周年的紀念制作，也是導演黑澤清繼《顯影的女人》後，又一部完全在海外拍攝的跨國之作。找來前AKB48偶像前田敦子主演倍受煎熬的女主持人，以及染谷將太、加瀨亮演出遭遇重重困難的制作團隊，一貫凝冽冷調的心理剖析，將看似歡樂例行的旅遊節目制作，轉為對文化沖擊、疏離人心的虛實辯證，道盡現代人難以言喻的異鄉孤寂。
