On and off I have watched quite a fair bit of MMA on Youtube.
There are so many possible moves, just how do you command them on your controller? I always wonder how these MMA games are played. Can you explain a little?
well, it's not that difficult.
Take PS3 as an example~~
press square==> throw a punch (Jab)
square + L1 ==> heavy punch
(Depends on who u re using, if rampage==>a hook Cain==> upper cut)each fighter has different special moves.
L2 + pushing R3 forward ==> Takedown
there's a tutorial session in the game, so no need to worry about the control system
are u an UFC fan as well? u dun have to watch 'em on youtube.
you can watch live ufc events on a website,named first row sport.

lilbruce, thanks for the explanation. I still find it difficult to believe that so many moves are command-able from the controller. And you mentioned that each character has unique moves, wow that's impressive.

I dare not say I am a UFC fan haha, but I do watch a lot of them ....... pride, Muay Thai, K1 GP, K1 Max, ...... there are just unlimited video clips of these on Youtube. I have even been to HK's Legend twice since I used to have complimentary tickets. Previously they were at Kowloon Bay, now they have moved to Macau. I cannot be bothered to travel to Macau to watch Legend haha.
I do not know anything about 'first row sport'. Do you have a link? I suppose it's not free, right? Appreciate if you could provide a link.
So many people are uploading MMA games on Youtube that by browsing through the screen captures, one may be fooled to believe that they are real fights, just to find out it's only a recorded game when one clicks to play the video haha. I got trapped a number of times, many people have as well, as you could tell from the comments below the vidoes.
I have no idea who's Frankie. I might have seen him previously on various clips but I have not memorized this name. Actually I would like to see a rematch of Fedor and Silva haha.

lilbruce, thanks for the link. However there are quite many ads within the page. Once I clicked the boxing icon, I was directed to another page with many ads as well. There were so many options to clicks like, "Link 1", "Link 2", "DOWNLOAD" and "Play Now" ........ or "You need additonal plugin". It's a little confusing. Which one do you click to watch something? It appears they will be showing a Cro-cop match later> I quite look forward to that. Many thanks.

I see. Are you using internet explorer? I suggest Chrome.
Ignore that "download and play" stuff, that looks like an ad to me.
There are several links, sometimes, there're 4, or maybe 5, maybe 6, and they are not the same. Just pick the one you like.
I always come across problems like... I am watching link 6, and suddenly it pops out a message "The channel is offline". So, I have to choose another link.
Thanks lilbruce, I will try again using Chrome. I have Chrome but like you suspected, I indeed was using IE when I visited the site you recommended.
I shall try again and let you know. But apparently from your description, the viewing of fights on that site could be quite disrupting. That's a huge bummer. Damn. Haha.
