旅行社訂機票仲有生存空間嗎?

經常飛上海, 對訂平價機票的變化, 有D體會:

以前, 最平的飛上海機票是"團票". 旅行社以攪旅行團的名義,從航空公司大手入貨,再拆散賣出.

幾年前已經冇團票了.  旅行社再冇平價機票了, 最平價的選擇是網上中介(如: TravelZxx, PriceLxxx).

到最近, 最平價的選擇變成是航空公司(以東航計)本身的網上售票了. 上網,選擇航班,入信用卡號,到機場以証件取Boarding Pass 上機.

已經好久無找旅行社了!

目前價是RMB1000+fee = RMB 1,573 來回. 唔知你的平價選擇是什麼?

我覺得都仲有得做, 不過緊係唔會對住我地呢啲一般散客, 正如上述所講, 網上直接付款又平又有得碌咭, 但就要你即刻CONFIRM, 所以如果對行程唔係100%CONFIRM 既公司客, 咁就有用啦, 可搵AGENT留位, 兼且出飛之後如果仲要更改行程, 咁咪交俾佢地做囉

有時未必開始就出可改行程的飛. 雖然之後改要俾錢, 但好多時你只係會拋低一句"我想點點點", 如果你直接網上購票, 除咗俾改期費之外, 航空公司有時都要問清問楚你的要求, 如果身在外地又無謂花一筆長途電話費, 但打俾AGENT, 咁佢就會幫你處理咗

I think at this point, agent should get paid to provide service, not just the ticket. Anyone can get ticket, but can anyone manage special situation when it happens. This is what people pay the agent fees for. Remember, time is money. If you go do all the research and that's your time and you could have use that time for something else more meaningful for your life and that's why you pay a travel agent to do.

I understand and thank for rely

It is sure that agent must have some value added so that the customers willing to pay additional fee.
The point is: the agents must do something that not already provided by the internet booking system.
e.g. Searching for the lowest price and flight info is more easy on internet than talk with the agent.
Say, I can check when have vacancy & if the higher price justify the better flight time.... more easy and effective to review it in the internet, then several telephone talk with the agent.

Oh, one more question.

I used to have group ticket from the travel agent with lowest price.
but it didn't exist for years. Is that no more allowed from the airline or what?

I think with internet, airlines have much better access to consumer and they no longer need to count on travel agent to sell ticket anymore. It is all about supply and demand, if there are only so many seats on that route and the business people is getting them, why would the airlines offer any more discount than they need to fill the plane. There are group rates still, I just don't think the discount is as steep as they used to. It cost a lot to fly an airplane and government subsidies just not enough anymore to sustain the airlines business and this is only gonna get worse.

Really, you mean HK Government or else?

To many countries, airline is more a symbol than just a business, government has a lot of say in it and often time provide indirect (sometime direct) subsidies to airlines using tax policy and other incentives. However, with the gas price so expensive, even those subsidies won't be enough to help sustain the business and that's why they are charging checked bag fees. Even Cathay is doing that.

啲旅行社會做一啲公司客,上網訂要即時CNFM同比錢.....同AGENT訂會有出飛DEADLINE同數期....加上有好多BUSINESS TRIP要連續飛幾個地方....呢啲會係網上做唔到.....AGENT可以同一時間HOLD幾間AIRLINE既位....到你CNFM個TRIP既SCHEDULE先出飛......
