Yes, you right. But I really think in long term, they really can become very strong.
One more thing I dislike is that Amare go back to Center which is not a good choice, i think PF is the best position for him!!!
But NYK do not have any good C position.......

In long terms，I believe NYK will still rank after Boston、Miami and probably Orlando in Eastern Conference (Even after Chicago)

It is very likely Bibby is joining the Heat, especially they have cleared a roster spot by waiving Arroyo. Arroyo is a poor guy, since per league rule a player who is waived AFTER 1st March cannot be placed on the active playoffs roster. Unless they changed that rule, it means Arroyo is likely going to stay unemployed the rest of this season, as he cannot play for any team in the playoffs.

By the way, what an unlikely come back win by the Hawks against the Bulls!! That game started off with the Bulls leading 14-0 in the 1st qtr. The Bulls also led as much as 19pts and led the entire game until the final 29 seconds!!

It's a great addition for the Heat. But they will still have a tough time getting pass the Celtics.  The Celtics' bench is better than the Heat's...

What an epic melt down by the Heat today!! I got today off and was watching the game this morning. All the while I thought the Magic were done when the Heat led by 24 pts at one point!! Man, was I wrong, and what an epic come back by the Magic, and it was so exciting in the 4th qtr!!

yeah. Lakers are cursed whenever playing against CHA!! they had lost 9 of their last 11 againsh CHA!!
well. as a Lakers fan, i want to see them win. but i had a bad feeling...

and IND and CHA will have same record but IND still hanging onto 8th spot cuz they are 3-0 against CHA

Wow! Not that I care, but the Miami Heat are in sort of a trouble spot right now. Losing 2 tough ones in a row, and they basically didn't even show up @ San Antonio at all. If I am not wrong, and without double checking the records, I think the Heat are 2 games below .500 against teams with at least a .500 record! That's troubling consider they are supposed to be one of the elite teams in the east. Their defense is terrible, period!

As for the #8 spot in the east, I think the Pacers have a better chance in getting it then the Bobcats. After all, they have been playing slightly better since Jim O'Brien was fired.

Oh, and what a good win for the Lakers tonight against the Bobcats. Then again, they have 4 tough road games coming up starting on Sunday @ Spurs... we will see how good the Lakers really are and if they are really prepared for the playoffs.

但後天湖人要面對馬刺，以湖人對榜首球隊的成績，仲要作客...
而『牛熊』大戰賽果會正常點吧。預祝牛仔迎接九連勝吧！

You are exactly correct, the Lakers and the Mavs are indeed jockeying for the #2 seed in the west. Here are some of the reasons:

1) Both know their chances for chasing down the Spurs for the #1 seed out west are slim, but securing the #2 seed means they would have homecourt advantage all the way thru at least the Western Conference Finals.

2) If you look at the overall standings, no teams from the east post better record then both the Lakers and the Mavs, except for the Celtics. This means if either one of them can secure the #2 seed out west could in theory have better record and home court advantage over any eastern team not named the Celtics. And that's very important in the Finals!

3) More immediately, and basically ties in with reason #1 is that, the #2 seed plays the #3 team (assuming both advance pass the first round) with homecourt advantage in the second round. Trust me, neither the Lakers nor the Mavs want to start the second round on the road.

Yeah, you are correct. This Mavs team is possibly their best all around lineup, perhaps even better than the one made it to the 2006 Finals. Then again, as a Lakers fan I don't fear the Mavs that much, as long as we have home court advantage over them. Sure, like I've just said, they are playing pretty good, and are tough to match up against. Also they are playing some decent defense with the addition of Chandler; but, I don't see too many team can handle both Bynum and Gasol down low. And don't forget we also have the all-around guy in Odom. I like our chances against the Mavs in a 7-game series.

兩隊鬥餐死，最後會唔會係馬刺『漁人得利』？
當然也不一定...
記得早一兩年 LBJ + 騎士『地獄主場』都係在未失一場下殺入 conference final；
而對手 (一年係綠軍，另一年魔術) 則打生打死先入到 conference final；(祇憑記憶，如錯了請指正)
結果，當然唔先講啦！
我想，這就是 "NBA，What Amazing Happens" 特別之處！
